Life As Liyah

Music has been a big part of my life even before I was born. My dad named me after the famous singer Aaliyah. Music has gotten me through some really hard times in life. For example, one of the hardest things I have been through was the death of my best friend my senior year of high school. This is a day I'll never forget, the morning he died he sent me a good morning text with an angel, which I did not think of at the time. He died November 13,2018 which was a Tuesday. I woke up late for school that day, so I was rushing trying to get dressed. I woke up to 25 missed calls from multiple people combined, so I knew something was wrong. The first person I called back was my mom who broke the news to me. I remember I was in the mirror brushing my hair and next thing you know I broke down to the ground crying. Hey guys, my name is Aaliyah Morgan. I am a senior here at Converse, some of my favorite things to do is spend quality time with my family and friends and shop. I also have a YouTube channel that I have had for almost a year, and I do a lot of vlogging on my channel. Music has always been a big part of my life because I was raised in the church, and I sang in the church choir when I was little. My favorite artist is Lil Baby, and I am probably one of his biggest fans. I can sing all his songs word for word and hopefully one day my boyfriend surprises me with tickets so I can see him perform.
